Do, Undo

SADMEP tells her friend PEMDAS that he’s easy to find because “step by step, whatever you do, I undo.” When he subtracts leaves, she adds them back to the pile, when he multiplies acorns, she divides them evenly between their friends.

Follow PEMDAS and SADMEP in another exciting Math Is Nuts adventure and have fun learning to solve equations!

Written by a certified middle school math teacher, "Math Is Nuts" books read like entertaining children's stories, rather than educational texts. Each step to solving a math problem is illustrated simply and clearly, with the abstract numbers and operations facing whimsical watercolor characters and a plot to make the problem meaningful and memorable. The text is suitable for older children to read independently, but it is also great for parents, grandparents, teachers, and mentors to read and talk about with children of any age. "Do, Undo" focuses on using inverse operations to solve one-step equations. This skill is generally taught in the middle school grades. Only whole numbers and an exponent of two (squaring) are used to target the inverse operations skills. Fractions, decimals, and more exponents can be found in other books of this series coming soon!
